Update: Just a little longer..

Hey again, it's been about 2 months since I've updated, but it's simply been because of school. I finish the semester in about a week, so I'm greatly looking forward to returning to FlyFF.

Why am I bothering posting a week before I come back? Well, if you haven't been keeping up with the forums, there's been a large number of account compromises, and a few things seem off about it.

I don't think most of these come from any kind of phishing attack, so it kind of warrants a bit of questioning.

I don't really feel like reiterating the same old 'don't share. .. blah blah' but you can go here if you need to read about it.

The thing I'd like to mention is that the FlyFF servers do not (well, at least shouldn't) store your password.
It's always a good idea to create passwords that are considered strong (uppercase, lowercase, numerics, and other characters) and keep it at least 8 characters (preferably 12+). In the event that the password data you send to the server is compromised, you can at least try to thwart any attempts to crack it.

Sorry if the post bores you, but it's good information to know.

Happy FlyFFing!

(Note: I'm not saying I know anything about FlyFF's password system, it's just general practice to store the hash of a password, and not the actual password itself, and so the password should be sent from the client to the server as a hash, that's all.)
