Mysterious Party Event - Day 14 and the opening!

Day 14
1.5EXP
Sunstone drop

I was able to grind a little today, and I happened to pick up quite a few sunstones, as well as getting my Knight (Amusei) to almost 68. Personally, it was a sad way to end the 14 day event, but there was a ton of good events along the way. It was a wonderful way to get everyone grinding for the majority of the two weeks (Now with all that extra money floating around, they'll probably give us a penya sink next).

So now that the drops are over, I decided to open everything I had collected during the two weeks.

  1. MrsSpeedy's Box of Delicious NomNoms - 1
  2. MaxPang's Weekend Fun Box - 3
  3. Premium Box - 9
  4. Shiny Weapon Box  - 5
  5. Little Mia Box  - 7
  6. Spike Box - 19
  7. Mysterious Bag - 4

Nothing extremely good, but I wasn't too disappointed!
The Red scroll is what I'm quite happy about.

Maybe one day I'll get the top prize, but I haven't had that kind of luck so far..

Tonight is maintenance! I encourage you to join me on the message boards (I'll be on the maintenance thread!) when FlyFF goes down! Let's hope for a good event!

Mysterious Party Event - Days 12 & 13

Day 12
Treasure Box
Butler Masquerade

I hunted for a while, but didn't see a single decent drop (although I did find a sunstone), nor did I get a treasure box for Wednesday's openings.

Day 13
Elegant Black Wings Box
POWER UP!

The POWER UP! event is awesome. My BP(Skooma) is having a little trouble taking on monsters because of his low buff time/DEF.

Dang! Some days I literally get nothing for events, and other days I'll get 5-10 boxes! I'm not really clear on how the box drops actually go on the server's side, but I feel like I've tried everything to get more boxes (except grind, haha).

Mysterious Party Event - Day 11

Day 11
Cardpuppet Box
Cheer

I was quite lucky on my BP (Skooma) today, as I picked up 5 boxes in an hour or so. I also grinded a bit on my Knight and got 2 more boxes! Also, instead of opening all my boxes Sunday, I will be opening them Wednesday, at the end of the event.

I didn't really use cheer all day, but I really loved it when I was leveling my RM.

Happy Grinding!

Mysterious Party Event - Days 8, 9, 10

Sorry about the delay in posting. Fall classes have started up and I moved off to college again, so it took a few days to pack and get settled (and to my horror, I forgot to bring my mouse!)

So for now, I'm waiting to buy another mouse so I can grind.

Day 8
NarKeni's Potion Box
Dragon Chance Box

I spent Wednesday attempting to get Altaius to level 75 (He's about 60% to 75 now), but it was too laggy
and I ended up gaining 20% or so.

(Spent the day packing for college)

Day 9
Mocomochi
Roanin's Magic Level Box

I'm really sad I missed this event, but hopefully they're will be a next time!
(Moved in to college)

Day 10
It's Raining EXP
POWER UP!

Realized I forgot my mouse. :(
So all I did on FlyFF was run around and go to the Bang Hangout.

And in terms of sad news, I will be retiring Altaius for the next few weeks. My internet connection is a bit more prone to lagging, so I'll be on my Knight (Amusei) for now.

See ya in a few weeks!

Some things are awesome, and others ... arent.(Part 1)

Although I think most of these screenshots are self explanatory, I'm going to give a little history about each one. (If you're reading from the main page make sure to click the Read More... at the bottom of the post!)

The First - AFK/Sleeping shouts

I cannot for the life of me seem to get a party together because no one seems to see my .. oh. Maybe it's because it's filled with AFK shouters! I mean, seriously, look at that! 3 on one screen! (I can show you the original if you don't believe me =]) __________________________________________________________________________

There's been a surge of begging and I want to hide, but I don't really want to walk around in vagrant armor.

The Second  - Penya beggars (although I believe some geniunely need it. See this)
(edit: didn't properly blur the person's name. I knew that I'd do it eventually. xD)
(edit #2: image violated ImageShack's ToS -- I have no clue why.)

_____________________________________________________________________________
The Third  - I don't know what to call them?
The second post on the first picture and the second picture are the same poster.

Generally, this is how the Elementors life goes:

  • Vagrant -- same as any other character.
  • Mage    -- No one will party with you with a ten foot stick (You kill slow, you can't buff/heal, you take damage pretty easily)
  • Elementor (60-64) -- No one will touch you with an eight foot stick.
  • Elementor(65+)     -- See above pictures.

I get absolutely hounded for power levels nowadays (Hounded until they watch me die over and over, haha). This happened a few moments after I teleported to Saint Morning. Now, I don't mind giving power levels, mind you (Especially if they pay me for my time. :D ) #3 is simply for those who don't take no for an answer.
_____________________________________________________________________________
The Fourth - Price gouging merchants

The corner in the square in Saint Morning always holds the overpriced sellers..

If you're on the Lawolf server, they will find you and ask to buy your stuff for ridiculously low prices, and then will proceed to place it in a shop for about four times what they bought it for. They visit me often in my shop (although never to have a friendly chat) and put prices my stuff (Which you shouldn't sell for!).

Just to give you some perspective, on the Lawolf server, doggies usually go for about 125-135M, while the White Rabbits are about 220-300M.
(Note: As of March 5th, 2011 - Prices on pets are about half of what I posted here.)

What they are doing is completely legal, but it just drives me insane. More power to them if they earns tons of money that way.

I'll be posting a box/event price guide soon in light of the 2 week event.

Happy Grinding!

will be opened Sunday. I hope I get something good!

Mystery Party event - Days 6 & 7

Day 6
Butler Masquerade
Clock Bike box

I decided to try something different -- hunt Clockworks Butlers (lvl 1). The drops for them can be really good. (Like the cape Altaius wears). After hunting about 60 of them (without Treasure Hunting enabled) I ended up with only a few things

 - clock hearts
 - nuctwheels
 - 1x Vigor+9
 - 4 Shiny Boxes (I will open those Sunday)

All in all, it was a good break from grinding I think.

Day 7
1.5x EXP
Moonstone

Got up early and checked the event. When I logged in I was asked  to do a power level (55-60) which took about an hour. I'll probably spend the rest of this day's event getting my RM (Antille) to 60, then I'll be back on the knight (Amusei) for some box farming.

On that note, I got an Axe of Ivallis for Amusei, which I'm quite excited to use (just 3 more levels!)

Mysterious Party Event - Day 5

Day 5
Mysterious Bag
Cheer

To be honest, I had no clue what the Cheer event was until about 9PM last night. But, after using it, I got my RM (Antille -- you haven't met her) two levels!

The mysterious bag drop didn't go well for me. I managed to get 4 after about 5 hours, but I guess it's better than nothing!

Note: The Cheer event gave you 250%( right?) EXP for the length of the cheer. Personally, it felt more like 150%.

Mystery Party event - Day 4

I am saddened to say, that although I grinded for about 4 hours yesterday, I did not see a single White Rabbit Box.

Day 4
White Rabbit Box
POWER UP!

Like I said earlier, I was grinding at the Cranes (level 67-69) for about 2 hours in the morning, and didn't get anything except for 2 Fire B cards. Later, I switched spots and I farmed at the Saint Morning dungeon (Cardpuppets - level 65) and didn't see anything either.

The power up event is just awesome. I just wish they'd pair it with an EXP event. the added DEF really helped me tank mobs on my Knight (Amusei).

Better luck tomorrow!

Mystery Party event - Day 3

Hope you guys had a good event day! I don't particularly enjoy the rain event, nor the moonstone. It did work out though, I needed to some piercing, as well as get my knight to level 65 for his AoE ability (I'll introduce him soon).

Day 3
2X EXP Rain
Moonstone drop

The EXP Rain actually helped me out this time, as I was desperately trying to get my knight to 65 in time for another box event. I did happen to snag about 10 event moonstones too (Although I used quite a few before the day was over).

Let's hope tomorrow's event is awesome!

14-Day Mystery Event - Days 1 and 2

The Mystery Party Event may possibly be my favorite type of event simply because it always has news stuff coming in. Now it's twice as long, with 2 events per day!

Day 1
Spike Box event
Sunstone event

I've never had good luck with boxes, but I'm determined to get something good in these two weeks! I actually had a decent haul of Spike boxes (7) with a decent haul of sunstones (6).

I've been collecting them on my new character (Amusei) that I decided to level in light of the Master's Journey event.

Day 2
Mocomochi event
Premium box event

I've never had the premium box event before, but it looks like a normal box event without the grand prize. That's OK, I suppose, I can use plenty of Vital X/Refresher Holds etc.

The Mocomochi event is a lot of fun if you don't feel up to grinding. I got into a Treasure Hunting (GB) party and hunted for an hour or so. I ended up with an inventory full of couple rings, and about 5 MaxPang boxes.

Lastly, I've decided to hold all my box drops until August 29th (next Sunday), and then I'll be opening them and displaying the results. Let me know what you've gotten so far!

Epic Fail

My lollipop event failed miserably! I was banking on people from the forums visiting the night of maintenance, so maybe I got the post out too late.

Regardless! I will continue it! It shall be extended indefinitely, so make sure you catch me around. ^^

Note: I'll be posting again today about the events, so look forward to it!

A little fun..

I'm sure everyone has heard of the new event coming up (which I am stoked about) and in celebration, I've decided to have a little one of my own. You may not know this, but Altaius has a really bad sweet tooth. So in return for a lollipop, I will be handing 5M, 3M and 1M to the first, second, and third players to find me.

I will be running about the towns tomorrow, so if you see me there, be sure to trade me!

And as a guarantee, tomorrow I will be at the Bang Hangout (See previous post) from 5-6PM EST.

In addition, every winner will also receive 1 FUN card, 1 pink, black, and blue soccer ball for grinding!

I'll be posting pictures of the winners, so make sure to wear your best attire!

Collecting

Anyone who has a spare computer laying around should try collecting! It's generally a good way to earn penya, but there are some tips and tricks you must know if don't want to waste your time.

1) Getting a collector.

  • Do not buy a collector unless it is a +5 (Or you plan on upgrading it to a +5).
  • A collector+5 generally goes for about 45M on Lawolf.
  • A collector+0 generally goes for about <1M on Lawolf.
  • A collector+0 takes 1 minute 45 seconds to get one piece from the ground.
  • A collector+5 takes 30 seconds to get one piece from the ground.
  • Collectors can be upgraded to +5 without breaking (that is, you may not upgrade it sucessfully, but you certainly won't break it).

*Note: It will take many, many moonstones to upgrade it fully. Be prepared!

2) How to collect?
  • Go to any collecting area (located near towns. You may have to search a little).
  • Equip your collector.
  • Put a battery in your collector (can be purchased from [Collector] Collins next to collecting area, or CS batteries from other players or CS shop).
  • Start collecting!

      Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters!

3) What can I get?

You can get a number of different pieces* from collecting, such as:
  • Any 2%, 4%, or 7% card pieces
  • upgrade gems pieces (Topaz, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Diamond)
  • Sunstone and Moonstone pieces
  • Pills (Blue, Grey, Yellow, Red, Gold)
  • Cloud Box pieces (Cloud box has a chance to contain a Lucky Cloud!)
You can trade in your pieces to [Collector] Collins.

* 10 pieces can be traded for 1 whole item.

4) Is it really worth it?

Yes! While some pieces are EXTREMELY rare, like the Volcano and Lightning 7% pieces, they're worth 10M and 110M on Lawolf. I usually collect when my shop character doesn't have anything to sell, and there's no events going on, but I've used 2 silver batteries so far:
  • I got a silver battery from an event which netted me a profit of about 130M after collecting.
  • My second silver battery (which I purchased for 40M) netted me about 280M.

The NPC batteries last 30 minutes (game time), while the silver (10 days) and gold (20 days) last in real time.
I don't think collecting is worth it without the +5 collector. But if you can invest a little money, you'll surely get some good returns.

Character introduction - Altaius

I figured I'd start of by introducing the character I'm on the most often at the moment: Altaius.
level 72 Elementor - A bit of STA, a lot of INT

He's the one I've played on for about 2 months. He was extremely hard to get to Elementor, but well worth it. He's probably my favorite to play as (Although box hunting on my BP or Blade comes really close).

Right now I've been training on Popcranks, but it's been kind of laggy and I die pretty often.

When it is too laggy to train, I usually peruse the shops or lounge (Nothing beats sitting around at the Bangs or Nyangnyangs), and so far, I've met some pretty cool people that way.

Money makes the world go around.

Sometimes, you can spot a person in genuine need of penya. I have a soft spot for low level RM's, simply because it's very hard to get penya, let alone earn it. Often times they have to scavenge the battlefield, hoping their partner will share the spoils or at least give them the RM related gear.

I usually see penya beggars around the busier parts of town, and I rarely pay them any mind. This time I decided to give the assist a few tips on how to earn his penya.

To my surpise, he was trying to raise money for a guild (Entry fee is 3M) and I ended up buying a Wind B card from him to cover his costs.

Thinking back on it, I see assists begging the most. This completely baffles me, as my BP is the one who brings the bread home on event days! ( I love box farming)

Maintenance

Maintenance was last night from 1AM to 4AM EST time, but when I tried to log on this morning, I couldn't connect. It's now 1:15PM and I'm still unable to connect, which is really sad. I was really hoping for a box event . (It's about the only way I'll grind 1v1 :) )

Still nothing new while the Master's Journey event is running, which is fine. It's not my type of event, but it's infinitely better than a Event Sunstone drop.

There's TONS of new stuff in the cash shop. Definitely some good XPro/SPro/GPro offers. The price is very tempting (roughly 35-40M per 100 gPotatos on Lawolf)!

I only wish they'd do that to some of the consumables. Seriously, which one would you choose?

300 gPotatos - 10 Flask of the Tiger (+7STR for 30 minutes).
250 gPotatos - 5 Power Scrolls (3 hours of on average 300HP and 200ATT).

The power scroll becomes stronger as time runs out. It also lasts as long as 6 Tiger flasks.
So not only is the second deal cheaper, it's stronger, and lasts about 3 times longer. (Not a bad deal!)

Power scrolls are incredibly powerful if you combo them with FUN cards (200 ATT) and Pink Soccer Balls(300ATT) -- they really let you lay waste to enemies and grind faster. (faster grinding -> more loot -> more grinding supplies!)

(Although Pink soccer balls are disappearing quickly, I believe there is still plenty of Love Chocolate around (HP and ATT +10% for 2 hours!) ).

Bang Hangout

With summer in full swing, sometimes I feel a bit lazy and want to stay inside. Sometimes that laziness carries over into FlyFF and I don't feel like training. Often times it'll be too laggy, or I can't find a partner. So what do I do? Go to the Bang Hangout!

Thanks to: dolfin22 (farthest left), AoEBillPoSteR(second), fluffinabox (middle), Stomach (right), FallenMidNite (front) and Smugglemouths the egg for the picture!

It's a wonderful place where people chat about anything and everything, show off their gear and teach the young ones how to ask for buffs. Every FlyFFer should try it at least once (Note: If you're an RM/Assist. You may want to hide your stick/knuckle for a little while, trust me).

On that note, I usually hang around their pretty often (Lawolf server). It's a good place to sit around if you don't want to train. Half the time I dress up in nab gear and run around. Such fun.

The Bangs have a very small AoE attack -- which you can use for a little bit of fun if you're high enough to tank a few. ;)

The site is now up!

The site has just now been posted. My motivation for creating the blog is the Blog for Rewards! from FlyFF. I had considered it for quite a while, so this couldn't have come at a better time.

I'll be updating it every few days, especially when new events come out and such. So make sure to keep tuned in!

If you have a Google account, you can keep up to date by clicking the "follow" button on the right.

A little info about me:
  • I currently play on the Lawolf server
  • I have a lvl 72 Elementor (Altaius), a lvl 74 Blade (Artaius) and lvl 72 BP (Skooma) (I'll introduce everyone later :) )
  • I am primarily on from 7-10AM EST

I look forward to hearing from you!
